Developed during late WW2 and then finalized and issued out in the mid 60s Strichtarn aka Rain drop is as iconic as the East German Peaked Cap and M56 Helmet.
East Germany adopted this strange camo pattern to give themselves a unique look, to show an independent East German state. One that is not a Soviet satellite.
These Field Shirts are made of a light but still heavy Poly Cotton fabric allowing for some moderate cooling during summer, Field shirts also have two upper chest pockets and two shoulder pockets. A rare design choice at the time which would later become standard on most field combat shirts today.
Used - seen some action or just wear from being in the depot for so long, generally in good condition.
serviceable - might have some noticeable stains or tear, can be fixed or cleaned
It is recommended a collar liner is worn with the shirt
