The M65 was first issued in 1965 to replace the older M51 field jacket of Korean war fame, the jacket was used extensively during Vietnam due to its wind and water resistance. Then became synonyms with the Anti War movement from returning GIs, Its was one of the longest running pieces of gear issued by the US Military until it was discontinued for use after the introduction of GEN II ECWCS.
The M65 is equipped with a Gore-Tex hood, four chest pockets, adjustable cuffs, Waist and leg draw strings
This Variant Comes in classic OG-107 Green perfect for those wanting a great comfortable jacket without the bombastic M81 Or UCP Pattern on it. We try to offer both the Aluminum Zipper type and the Brass Zipper type for those wanting to make era accurate uniform sets.
